The RAOB would like to thank the staff & management of Ocean Village for their time, commitment and generosity.
Having such a magnificent venue has allowed the Charity Cardboard Boat Race to grow year-on-year, until now it has become one of the most popular events on Gibraltar's social calendar. The Marina is the perfect home for the event and Ocean Village are the perfect Hosts.
The huge efforts, preparation and positive attitude of the management team should not be underestimated and we hope that this partnership will go from strength to strength in order to continue providing the community with a fun-packed, safe and wonderful day enjoyed by everyone!

Juniors Race Prize Sponsors
Ronald McDonald House Evelina London is a purpose-built 59 bedroom facility serving Evelina London Children’s Hospital, part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. The Government of Gibraltar sponsor a room in the house and in any given year an average of 375 families from Gibraltar stay at the house, so effectively, there is a Gibraltarian family staying at the house every night of the year.
The House management team give families from Gibraltar booking priority and endeavour to accommodate them at all times. The House is a free ‘home away from home’ for the families of children being treated at the Hospital. It has been developed with a significant contribution from Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity provided the land.
We already had a 20-bedroom House near London Bridge, our Guy’s and St Thomas’ House, but the number of families needing accommodation already far exceeded what we could offer. The new House, which opened in December 2016, can accommodate three times the number of families who were accommodated in a year at the Guy’s and St Thomas’ House. The House is located just a five minute walk from the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, helping families to be as close as possible to their child.

We are proud and honoured to welcome back the Imperial Storm-troopers & Star-Wars Characters of the legendary 501st Legion - in full costume & character, these guys & girls will blow your minds!
We will have elements of the 501st Legion UK Garrison, along with amazing guest appearances who will be arresting the public and photo-bombing everything in sight!
DO NOT MISS THESE GUYS - THE FORCE WILL BE WITH US ON AUGUST 22nd
